As Minister of Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation, Cindy Ady helped announce a new trail system at the Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park on September 21, 2009.

Cindy Ady participated in the 2009 Access Challenge, which encourages Albertans with disabilities to use and enjoy Kananaskis Country. The event took place August 8, 2009 in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park.

Cindy toured Dinosaur Park in southeastern Alberta in August 2009, learning from the experts and gaining valuable experiences in her role as Minister of Tourism, Parks and Recreation.

Alberta is a wealth of prehistoric treasures, as Cindy discovered during her tour of Dinosaur Park.

Swearing In March 2008

Cindy Ady, MLA for Calgary Shaw, was sworn in as Minister of Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation on March 13, 2008.

As Minister of Tourism, Parks and Recreation, Cindy Ady participated in the joint Alberta-B.C. cabinet meeting in Prince George on October 1, 2008. Here she attends a media conference with B.C. Premier Gordon Campbell (left) and Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach (right). The two cabinets discussed interprovincial co-operation to enhance community safety, trade, labour mobility and rural development.

Unveiling the Canada-China Perfect Family Tourism Campaign

Tourism Minister Cindy Ady travelled to
Beijing, China in September 2008 for the unveiling of the `perfect family`-- two very popular Chinese Olympic figure skaters who were about to embark on a trip to Canada, with Chinese media in tow, to promote Chinese tourism in Canada.

Prior to the unveiling of the Perfect Family, Cindy discovered a piece of Alberta -- a lifesize poster of Moraine Lake, near Lake Louise.

Following the unveiling, Cindy posed with representatives of Chinese travel agencies, SOHO, a popular Chinese news and entertainment website, Travel Alberta, the Canadian Tourism Commission, Tourism BC, Ontario Tourism and Quebec Tourism. Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo, the figure skaters, are seated in the front row to Cindy`s right.

Highway 22X Bridge Opening

Cindy was on hand to officially open a new bridge over the Bow River that completes the Highway 22X twinning project in southeast Calgary. With her are (l-r) Calgary Hays MLA Art Johnston, Ald. Ric McIvor, Ald. Linda Fox-Mellway and Mayor Dave Bronconnier. The bridge opened in September 2007.
